Understanding the shorthand of Bingo Lingo

Online bingo has one of the best reputations around for having a friendly and welcoming community which is probably one of the reasons why the concept of online bingo has been on a meteoric rise for a few years now.

Its not at all difficult to get involved in the online chat community at the bingo site you are registered to. The actual bingo chat feature is always easy to use and the other people are always pleased to speak to a bingo player they havent spoken to before.
A good ice breaker is always something like Hi, I havent used bingo chat before so I am new to this but nice to meet everyone. Hello

The only thing that could seem confusing to the new chatter on a bingo site is the shorthand and abbreviations people use in the chat.  Once you have spent a small amount of time chatting you will pick up all the bingo lingo but here is a handful of terms that are useful to know:

brb- Means be right back. Someone might use this if they are leaving the bingo game or chat for a brief moment.

YVW- Means youre very welcome. Commonly used after the other person says thank you for something like some good bingo advice.

rofl- Is short for rolling on the floor laughing. This phrase is good for when some one tells a very funny joke.

2tg, 3tg...- This means two or three numbers to mark until you win bingo!

ggp- Means gotta go pee. Yes, isnt that charming? A lot of people say afk or away from keyboard instead to save some dignity.

wtg- This means way to go and is ideal for typing when some one else gets bingo to show that you are pleased for them.

hb- Means hurry back and is often used between good friends when one of them leaves for a bit. It is also used if someone says they are leaving for a minute and there is a bingo game about to start shortly.
